PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently raise a thrust force by letting a permanent magnet of a stator part approach the coil of an armature without contacting. SOLUTION: A linear motor type uniaxial robot is provided with a robot body 1 and a moving member 2 movable linearly in a constant direction relative to the robot body 1. The robot body 1 comprises a shaft-like stator part 10 where permanent magnets are arrayed in axial direction, and a linear guide 8 which supports the moving member 2 for moving in axial direction of the stator part 10. The moving member 2 comprises a hollow block 15 in which the stator part 10 is inserted, and a coil 18 that encloses the stator part 10 is attached on the inner peripheral part of the block 15.
