THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED ARTICLE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition having extremely high and balanced properties such as impact resistance and rigidity by compounding a PET resin with a small amount of a graft copolymer. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition contains 5-40 pts. wt. of a graft copolymer, 0-30 pts. wt. of a vinyl copolymer and 95-30 pts. wt. of a PET resin. The graft copolymer is produced by the graft polymerization of 50-20 pts. wt. of a monomer mixture containing 60-76 wt.% aromatic vinyl monomer and 40-24 wt.% vinyl cyanide monomer in the presence of a redox initiator to 50-80 pts. wt. (solid basis) of an EPDM-containing crosslinked latex produced by homogeneously dispersing 1-20 pts. wt. of an acid-modified low-molecularα-olefin copolymer to 100 pts. wt. of EPDM rubber latex particles while continuously adding the redox initiator and the monomer mixture for≥1 hr.
