A pivotal joint comprises a bearing member 7 non-rotatably located in a socket 5 and having a substantially semi-cylindrical bearing surface 8, and a pivotal thrust member 9 having a plane bearing face in rolling contact with the surface 8 within a co-axial locating bush 11. The joint includes a rubber retaining pad 14 and a two-part seal comprising a part 17 made of expanded rubber of the closed-cell type and a part 18 made of sponge rubber, the parts being united by adhesive.
