<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer allowing a user of printing service to immediately receive a response to a cancellation request of a print job. <P>SOLUTION: When this printer 200 receives the cancellation request of the printing job, the printer 200 decides whether a cancellation process for the designated printing job is executable, and returns a decision result to the user of the print service before executing the actual cancellation process for the print job. The cancellation process for the print job is executed in a process different from a process wherein the cancellation request of the print job is accepted. When the cancellation process is completed, new connection is produced to a predesignated destination, and cancellation process completion notification of the printing job is transmitted by use of the connection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
