PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bead incorporating a religious display layer with a display surface visible as an image with a religious graceful atmosphere through a transparent body. SOLUTION: This bead-like lump material used for a connected lump material formed by connecting a plurality of small lumps with holes for a connecting string, to one another through the string inserted through the holes, comprises a base body having a curved surface part; a lens body having one end face formed in convex curved surface shape; and the display layer displaying a figure. The curved surface part is formed with a cylindrical bottomed hole, and the display layer is provided at the bottom part of the bottomed hole. The lens body is fitted into the bottomed hole in the facing state of the display layer and the other end face of the lens body. When the radius of curvature of the curved surface part is made R and the center radius of curvature of one end face is made r, 0.75R≤r≤1.25R is to be satisfied, and when the depth of the bottomed hole is made D, 0.8R≤D≤0.95R is to be satisfied. When the diameter of the lens body is made d, 0.8≤d/R≤1.6 is to be satisfied, and the figure recorded in the display layer is visible through the lens body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
