PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detector assembly 18 for an imaging system 20. SOLUTION: This detector assembly 18 for the imaging system 20 comprises a plurality of scintillator elements 50 which are arranged in a scintillator pack 56. The scintillator pack 56 forms a scintillator pack upper surface 58 and a plurality of scintillator pack walls 60 which are arranged between a plurality of the scintillator elements 50. A plurality of collimator elements 64 are attached to the scintillator pack upper surface 58. Each of a plurality of the collimator elements 50 includes a stack laminated base 66 which is attached to the scintillator pack upper surface 58 and a cast upper wall 68 which is formed on the stack laminated base 66.
