The system has a drive unit (12) whose drive torque can be transferred to drive wheels via a clutch arrangement (24) or/and a gearbox arrangement (26). At least one drive system region can be actuated by an electrically operated actuator arrangement (40,42) controllable by a controller (36) supplied by a voltage source (70) monitored by a voltage monitor. Measures for removing the load on or/and boosting the source are initiated if a voltage deficit is detected.
