PURPOSE: A carcass member with a flap is provided to make manufacturing and mounting easier and make an internal space of the carcass member have a full utilization. CONSTITUTION: The carcass member(1) such as a cupboard and a chest of drawers comprises a fitting provided with a flap(2) for closing the carcass member, a mounting panel(4) and a supporting arm(6) the ends of which are directly or indirectly connected to the flap(2). The mounting panel(4) is mounted at the outer side of one wall of the carcass member(1), and the supporting arm(6) is pivotally installed at the mounting panels(4).
