<p>A lockset (1) mountable to a door (2) or the like, including: a displaceable bolt (8), a hand operable angularly displaceable handle (9, 10), an angularly displaceable drive member (68), means for converting rotary movement of the drive member into displacement of the bolt, wherein said bolt is displaceable by drive member rotation in response to handle rotation, a cylinder (14) including a key operable barrel (15) operable to displace the lockset between an unlocked configuration characterized by the bolt being displaceable in response to handle rotation, and a locked configuration characterized by the handle being unable to be operated to displace the bolt, the barrel characterized by an undisplaced disposition enabling key removal, the cylinder within a cylinder recess (35) extending to the surface of the handle to define an opening through which the cylinder has passage to the cylinder recess and in which it is restrained by a fastener (70).</p> |
