PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser light source device that can be improved in the reliability of its optical performance by improving the accuracy of an assembling step by bonding, by stabilizing the applied state of a bonding agent at the time of bonding a collimator lens directly to a holder member which holds a semiconductor laser. SOLUTION: The laser light source device is constituted of the semiconductor laser used as a light source, the collimator lens which transforms the laser light emitted from the semiconductor laser into nearly parallel rays of light, and the holder member which holds the semiconductor laser at one end of its cylindrical section and the collimator lens on the other end side of the cylindrical section. On the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical section of the holder member housing the collimator lens, a level difference part on which the collimator lens is put is provided so as to limit the mobile area of the collimator lens in the direction of the optical axis of the lens and the radial direction by means of the step section.
