The device (10) has a central part (12) with a hook (34) attached to its upper area (36) and two arms (14, 16) telescopically guided in the horizontal extensions of the central part (12). The arms (14, 16) are provided with a row of grooves (50) to be engaged with matching projections located at the inner surfaces of the extensions. A single clamping element (22) is swivel mounted (28) to each of the outer ends of the arms (14, 16), using the downwards pointing ends (20) as the complimentary parts.
