The procedure involves receiving a message representative of a request for a specific function of a telecommunication terminal (10). The terminal determines the function after the reception of message and obtains parameters associated with the function. A frame of combination of specific voice frequency signals is transferred to a telecommunication terminal (33), where the signals are obtained from the parameters. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a device for transferring messages from one telecommunication terminal to another terminal (b) a signal transmitted from a telecommunication terminal to another terminal over a telecommunication network in response to a message representative of a request for a specific terminal function (c) a computer program stored on a data medium for performing a method of transferring messages from one telecommunication terminal to another terminal.
