PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION INCLUDING LANOSTANE DERIVED FROM PORIA COCOS AS EFFECTIVE INGREDIENT, THEREBY INHIBITING IMMUNE REACTION, REGULATING IMMUNE FUNCTIONS OF HUMAN BODY, CORRECTING ALLERGIC CONSTITUTION AND STRENGTHENING HUMAN IMMUNITY

PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition including a therapeutically effective amount of lanostane derived from Poria cocos as an effective ingredient is provided. It has no side effects, is absence of seco-lanostane capable of inhibiting an immune reaction and can regulate immune functions of human body, correct allergic constitution and strengthen human immunity when taken over a long period of time. CONSTITUTION: The pharmaceutical composition contains: 0.1 to 60% by weight of lanostane of the formula 1 as an active component; and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. In formula, R1 is H or CH3; R2 is OCOCH3, C=O or OH; R3 is H or OH; R4 is -C(=CH2)-C(CH3)2Ra, in which Ra is H or OH, or -CH=C(CH3)-Rb, in which Rb is CH3 or CH2OH; R5 is H or OH; and R6 is CH3 or CH2OH. The composition is prepared by the steps of: extracting metabolites, fermented products and sclerotium of Poria cocos in a solvent containing water, methanol, ethanol or a mixed solvent thereof; concentrating the extract; and then subjecting to a silica column.
