PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter of high conversion efficiency by reducing a forward voltage drop. SOLUTION: The power converter comprises a transformer, a full-bridge rectifying circuit which is positioned on the secondary side of the transformer and comprises at least a pair of self extinguishing elements driven by inversion, a connection means for connecting a negative electrode side connection line on the primary side of the transformer to a negative electrode side connection line on the secondary side of the transformer, and a control circuit shared to drive the circuits on the primary side and the secondary side of the transformer.
