PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a follow back book of a large opening at a processing cost standing comparison with an ordinary softcover book in the ordinary softcover book having a constitution wherein a back part of a text is directly bonded to a cover. SOLUTION: For the soft cover book, the back part of the book is made in a reversal back rounding state, a crossing groove is provided to the back part of the text, a polyamide base hot melt adhesive is permeated in the groove, and the polyamide base hot melt adhesive is applied to the back part of the text to provide the follow back book wherein the back part of the text is bonded to a cover. An applied thickness of the polyamide base hot melt adhesive should preferably be 0.1-1 mm and the polyamide base hot melt adhesive may contain a rubber constituent. Further, an interval of the crossing groove provided to the text back part should preferably be 0.5-1.0 cm . A degree of the reversal back rounding state should preferably be 0.05-0.3 mm when it is expressed by a distance from a horizontal surface of the back part to the maximum point of back rounding.
