PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize automatic alteration of the display state of a display screen in a display device to the display state desired by a user. SOLUTION: This display device 11 can alter the display state to be displayed to an arbitrary display state by an operation switch group 7 or a remote controller 9, and can store the altered display state in an external memory 13 by corresponding the altered display state according to a road type during traveling by the operation switch group 7 or the remote controller 9. If this display device stores the display state corresponding to the road type during travelling, the display state displaying at present can be automatically altered to the stored display state.
