PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tip section which can prevent the entanglement of a line and can simultaneously sharply detect the (biting) of a fish. SOLUTION: This tip section 1 of a spinning rod comprises the body 2 of a solid thin rod member having a first small diameter portion 2a and a second small diameter portion 2b on the peripheral surface of the tip side end portion, a rotary pipe 3 rotatably disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the second small diameter portion 2b, and a cap 4 attached to the first small diameter portion 2a. The line L is mounted on the peripheral surface of the rotary pipe 3 to spin. The rotary pipe 3 is rotated together with the rotation of the line L to prevent the entanglement of the line L.
