PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of continuously performing sufficient dehumidification without requiring large energy using a moisture absorbent agent. SOLUTION: Heat exchangers in which moisture absorbent agent is provided at first and second air passages, coolant is supplied to either of the heat exchangers, and an air blower port is made a closed state by an opening/closing valve at the downstream side of the heat exchanger. Therefore, moisture can be sufficiently dehumidified in the air passing through the heat exchangers. Accordingly, the temperature of the air passing through the heat exchangers tries to increase more or less, but the air is cooled down by the coolant supplied to the heat exchanger to make the air appropriate temperature. Engine coolant is supplied to the other heat exchanger, and the opening/closing valve on the downstream side of the heat exchanger is made an open state (an air discharge port is an open state). With this constitution, moisture is evaporated from the moisture absorbent agent provided in the heat exchangers to regenerate the moisture absorbent agent, and water is discharged to the outside from the air discharge port by the air passing through the heat exchanger.
