The rotational mounting has a first metal component (9) at least partially acting as a carrier for stationary parts and a second metal component (10) acting as a carrier for relatively rotating parts, one or both of the metal components provided during manufacture with a contour which corresponds to the running surface (13,14) for the roller bearing of the rotational mounting, provided by laser welding of a hard layer to the contour.
