<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of authenticating a content provider and assuring the integrity of contents. <P>SOLUTION: The method for authenticating the content provider and assuring the integrity of the contents using packaged contents includes a step for downloading the contents to a user's device via cable and radio communication networks, a step for grasping a URL address where an authentication certificate for verifying a signature of the content provider is provided at a header part of the contents, a step for acquiring the authentication certificate of the content provider by moving to the URL address, a step for extracting a public key required for verifying the electronic signature from the acquired authentication certificate, and a step for verifying the electronic signature by using the public key. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
