PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual liquid quantity sensing device which can supplement liquid before the liquid is lost completely or which can replace the liquid by informing that the residual quantity of the liquid contained in a container or a storage tank is increased and in which the device itself is small and is easily handleable. SOLUTION: The residual liquid quantity sensing device automatically senses the residual quantity of the liquid contained in the container or the storage tank, and issues an alarm in the case that the residual quantity of the liquid is decreased. The residual liquid quantity sensing device includes a photosensor for sensing the residual quantity of the liquid, piping for sucking up the liquid, a container plug, and a warning unit which is driven by a simple power source to emits the alarm.
