PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon type endoscope capable of preventing a backflow of a humor into an air supplying and suction device in the case of bursting of a balloon. SOLUTION: According to the air flow path structure of a fluid storing tank 130, the balloon type endoscope is constructed such that when a pump 101 is driven and air is sucked through a tube 160, a check valve 164 is opened and a check valve 166 is closed, and air is sucked to a pump 101 from a tube 110 through the fluid storing tank 130 and the tube 160. In this case, the backflow of the humor into the pump 101 can be prevented, since the humor sucked from the tube 110 is stored in the fluid storing tank 130, even though the balloon is broken. On the other hand, when air is supplied from the pump 101 to the tube 160, the check valve 164 is closed and the check valve 166 is opened, thereby the air from the pump 101 is supplied to the balloon 20 side from the tube 160, via a bypass tube 162 and the tube 110.
