A latching device has two fasteners (10,40) fixed on the bicycle (50). A lock (20) is fixed in one fastener (10). One cable (30) extends from the lock. Another cable (30) extends from the previous cable to the lock. Both the fasteners have C-clamps (14,41) for holding on to the bicycle. The second fastener has a hook (42), which extends from the C-clamp to hang up the cable. The first fastener has space (11) for accommodating the lock. The lock has a core (21) and a bushing (25) for accommodating the core. The bushing has an opening (24) with which the second cable is accessible. The first fastener has an opening (13) which is aligned to the opening (24) of the lock. The first cable is attached to the bushing with a rivet (31). The bushing has an eyelet (22) for accommodation of the rivet. The first fastener has a slit (11) for the accommodation of the eyelet of the bushing. A rivet (33) combines the first cable to the second cable and they are welded with each other.
