PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pigmented thermoadhesive filament fiber of high mechanical strength and dimensional stability, giving favorable color when used as an industrial material or domestic material for use under natural environment. SOLUTION: The spun-dyed thermoadhesive filament fiber is a kind of sheath/core type conjugate fiber composed of a color pigment-containing polyester as the core component and, as the sheath component, a copolyester containing titanium dioxide, lower in melting point than the core component, i.e. 130-200°C in melting point, and differing in color from the core component. The fiber has a tenacity of≥3.5 cN/dtex and an elongation at break of≤30%. The copolyester is composed of terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, 1,4-butanediol and an aliphatic lactone components.
