PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disc device that achieves a positioning structure suitable for a small and thin device, turning into larger capacity and higher recording density, and higher data-processing speed. SOLUTION: A member, having a characteristic frequency equal to that of a head, is provided on an opposite face of a head arm mounted with one head. The member is made to have a shape where an outermost profile installed opposite to a disk (profile projected perpendicular to the surface of a magnetic disk) is made equivalent to that of the head, or does not go out of it.
