PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal member for a bearing manufacturable at low cost, having excellent corrosive resistance, and having a strong adhesiveness between a core and a seal lip. SOLUTION: This seal member 6 for the bearing comprises the core 61 and an elastic seal part 62 fixed to the core 61 with an adhesive agent. The core 61 forms a composite galvanized layer formed by applying galvanization having organic or inorganic eutectoid particles in the zinc matrixes thereof onto the surface of a steel plate, and solidifying a silane coupling agent through the particles.
