PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission capable of supplying the most suitable assistant torque also on changing any speed stage. SOLUTION: The power transmission for transmitting the driving power of a prime mover to a driving wheel is comprised of at least a three-stage transmission gear train in which one side of each driving drive gear and each driven gear is rotatably supported with an input shaft or an output shaft, and an intermeshing break and contact clutch for selectively contacting/breaking between one of the driving gear and the driven gear and the input shaft or the output shaft to rotatably support thereof, and for setting the gear change stage with the connected gear train. The power transmission is also comprised of a driving force assistant mechanism to refile the driving force of the prime mover to the output shaft at the time of changing gear with the break and contact clutch. The driving assistant mechanism is comprised of a variable displacement hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor connected to the hydraulic pump. The variable speed variable displacement hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor are used for the assistant torque transmission means of a stepless change gear so that the constitution of the driving force mechanism can be simplified and the most suitable assistant torque can be supplied corresponding to the engine load and the vehicle speed.
