PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the illicit unlocking preventing function of a locking device, by providing a thumb turn capable of preventing illicit unlocking such as insertion from the outdoor side. SOLUTION: The locking device has a fixed cylinder 4 fixed to the door 2 side, by rotatably supporting a thumb turn shaft 3 for inputting rotational operation force to a lock box mechanism part, a movable cylinder 9 fixed to an end part of the thumb turn shaft 3, and having an opening part 9a, a cylindrical decorative ring 5 connected to the fixed cylinder 4, and covering the periphery of the movable cylinder 9, a knob member 11 rotatably arranged in the opening part 9a of the movable cylinder 9 via a support shaft 13, and having a magnetic substance 16 on the reverse, a regulating means for regulating the rotational movement in a state of blocking up the opening part 9a, by running a surface of the knob member 11 along the opening part 9a of the movable cylinder 9, a slider piece 25 for freely rotating the knob member 11, by releasing regulation of the regulating means, and a holding means 29 composed of a magnet arranged in the movable cylinder 9, attracted to the magnetic substance 16, and holding a substantially half part of the knob member 11 in a projecting state.
