摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact luminescent fluid current meter for measuring the flow velocity of a luminescent fluid without any contact. <P>SOLUTION: Two radiation intensities are measured by photosensors 122, 124 installed at a certain interval in the flow direction of a plasma jet (luminescent fluid) 110. The radiation intensities measured by each photosensor are stored and processed by a personal computer 130. Examples of radiation intensities measured by each photosensor are shown by A, B in Fig. (b). With the time change of radiation intensities between two points, slight delay (t) is measured at the downstream side, but basically the two wavelengths have the same waveform, and a phase difference corresponding to the delay (t) can be analyzed by correlating the two waveforms A, B. A large-current power supply for generating plasma has a ripple (current variation) of approximately 5-10% at a frequency of 50-1,000 Hz, and variations are the radiation intensities following the current variation are extremely regular.
