<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of lines for supplying a plurality of voltage values to a data line driving system. <P>SOLUTION: The voltage values meeting the gradation to be displayed are selected from the first group constituted of M(2≤M<K) pieces of the voltage values among K pieces of the voltage values and the data corresponding to the selected voltage values is supplied to pixels in a first field FLD 1.
