PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preventing light leakage of an optical component, having low manufacturing cost in a simple constitution and attaining high light shielding, and to provide the optical component manufactured using the method. SOLUTION: In the method of preventing light leakage of the optical component and the optical component, in order to prevent flare light exuding from in between optical members, the optical component having a plurality of the optical members is provided with a region, containing a flare light absorbing member between the optical members.
