RICE COOKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise rice cooking performance by reducing the decrease of the amount of heating rice through water in a cooking process and a boil keeping process. SOLUTION: A rice cooker includes: a pot heating means 3 for heating a pan 2; a steam generating means 14 for generating steam to be supplied to the inner part of the pan 2; a pan temperature detecting means 4 for detecting temperature in the pan 2; and a control means 5 for inputting the detection temperature of the temperature detecting means 4, and controlling energizing to the pan heating means 3. The detection temperature of the pan temperature detecting means 3 is adjusted to be prescribed temperature to submerge rice for a prescribed time. Then the steam generating means 14 supplies steam into the pan 2 during a period till the pot temperature detecting means 3 detects prescribed temperature to allow water to run out at the bottom of the pan.
