PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of replacement when a verify result is NG in a disk unit for performing verify processing after data recording. SOLUTION: Data are recorded on an optical disk 10, such as a CD-RW, a DVD-RW and a DVD-RAM, and verification for collating the recorded data with data stored in a buffer memory 38 is performed. When a verified result is NG, a system controller 32 temporarily increases or lowers the data recording speed to overwrite the data at the same position of the optical disk 10.
