A signal-noise ratio depends on first and second influencing variables (IV). A detecting device (14) records a value for a first IV. An adjusting device (18) relies on the value of the first IV to adjust a value for a second IV in order to adjust the signal-noise ratio in this way. A memory (16) stores a look-up table that assigns each value of the second IV to multiple values for the first IV. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a measuring system with an adjusting device for signal-noise ratio; (b) a method for adjusting a signal-noise ratio between a signal level and a noise level in a test signal; (c) a method for adjusting signal-noise ratio in a tire pressure testing system; (d) a computer program with program code for carrying out the method of the present invention.
