<p>The method for determining the coefficient of friction (mu ) in a vehicle with at least one steered wheel on which a return torque (MR) acts when the vehicle is following a curved trajectory. The method has the following steps: determination of an actual return torque using a steering torque sensor; determination of actual dynamic driving values from which a theoretical return torque can be calculated, and; determination of the friction coefficient from the actual return torque and the actual dynamic driving parameters. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining the friction coefficient from the actual and theoretical return torque values.</p> |
