PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand a work application range, to improve work efficiency, and to reduce work cost. SOLUTION: This boring machine 10 is composed of a first support 12 capable of setting and holding a mold U, and a second support 14 having a boring device 40 for boring a through-hole or a bottomed hole in the mold U. The boring device 40 is composed of a boring rod 42 having on the tip a boring member 44 with a magnetic substance as a construction material, and an induction coil 50 arranged in a position for surrounding the boring member 44, allowing the passing of the mold U, and inductively heating the boring member 44 to the softening temperature T or more of the mold U. After the boring member 44 is inductively heated and held at the temperature not less than the softening temperature T, the first support 12 and the second support 14 for setting the mold U are mutually adjacently moved, and the through-hole or the bottomed hole is bored by pressing and contacting the boring member 44 to and with the mold U.
