PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make movement of a blade easily visible in a cutting tool. SOLUTION: The cutting tool includes a driving mechanism for oscillating a blade 7 back and forth as well as reciprocating the blade 7 in the longitudinal direction, a lighting device 9 for illuminating the blade 7, and a control means for making the lighting device 9 emit light at a cycle near 1/n and other than 1/n (n: integer) of the motion cycle of the blade 7. With this light emission cycle of the lighting device 9, the visual recognition of the blade 7 is made visible in a fashion that the blade 7 is in the frame-by-frame advance in the actual moving direction.
