PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver in which an electronic program guide (EPG) can be displayed while distinguishing a channel that is regarded important by a user, from the other channel. SOLUTION: An OSD circuit 12 generates video data based on character information or color information instructed to be outputted from a CPU 13. The video data are superimposed on received video by an adder 20. The CPU 13 imparts character information or the like based on EPG data read out of a memory 14 to the OSD circuit 12, thereby displaying the EPG on a screen. The memory 14 stores a table whereon channel numbers and width values of display frames are made correspondent. On the basis of a width value indicated in the table with respect to a channel that becomes a target of EPG display, sets a display frame and displays the EPG. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
