BURSTS SIGNAL CONTROL CIRCUIT, LASER DIODE DRIVING CIRCUIT, AND INTEGRATED CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold an extinction ratio of a laser diode for converting a high-speed burst signal into an optical signal constant.

SOLUTION: This burst signal control circuit is provided with a mark ratio conversion part 12 which converts a mark ratio of an inputted signal consisting of n × C bits (n, C are natural numbers) of burst digital electric signal, a power measurement part 11 which measures average optical power by every burst of the laser diode 112 and a current control part 13 which controls modulation current (Im) and bias current (Ib) of the laser diode based on the average optical power by every burst measured by the power measurement part and controls the extinction ratio of the laser diode so as to be constant based on output of the mark ratio conversion part and output of the current control part.
