PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably raise the position accuracy of the detection electrode of an electric potential sensor. SOLUTION: The potential sensor is composed by arranging a tuning fork which provides a chopper for cutting by a predetermined period lines of electric force radiated from a substance to be measured, and a detection electrode for receiving the lines of electric force and picking an output up, in a case having a base member. The detection electrode in the potential sensor is formed by a technique of forming a printed circuit on a board. By this sensor, the position accuracy of the detection electrode can be raised remarkably, and solder, an adhesive, etc., for fixing and wiring-connection of the detection electrode, the base member, etc. can be dispensed with also. Not to mention of improvement of the noise-proof properties of products and cost reduction in their manufacture, variations in the products are suppressed, and the yield rate can be increased.
