<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect pinching without decreasing pinching detection sensitivity, even if a vehicle starts to move during closing drive of a vehicle door. <P>SOLUTION: In a control unit, a speed is adjusted by an applied voltage, and a motor 4 makes the vehicle door 2 driven by voltage drive. In the control unit, the speed during the movement of the vehicle door 2 is detected by a Hall element 7; the door speed during the movement of the vehicle door 2 is determined by a detected signal; and the door speed is controlled by a controller 10 with a pinching detecting function so as to reach a set target door speed. In this case, the controller 10 detects the stop or traveling of the vehicle, and when the vehicle is put into a traveling state during the closing control of the vehicle door 2 (S18), the voltage applied to the motor 4 is made higher than in a state wherein the vehicle is brought to a halt.
