PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display unit which prevents vibration to an image display plate and has its structure simplified, and is made low-cost and electronic equipment equipped with the image display unit. SOLUTION: An optical waveguide 31 which receives incident light from a light source 34 and irradiates the reverse surface of a liquid crystal display plate 32 and cursor keys 35_1 and 35_2 for turning on and off a switch indicating an image to be displayed on the liquid crystal display plate 32 are molded in one body while spring parts 31_1 and 31_2 given elasticity are interposed halfway.
