PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the omission prevention and stability of the cell height by making engagement of a metal lid and a gasket a loose aimed dimension by solving a problem that the metal lid falls off from the gasket and assembly of the metal lid into the gasket is insufficient due to dimension variations of the gasket and the metal lid at the caulking sealing of the button type electrochemical cell. SOLUTION: A level difference 109 is provided on the metal lid 105 side of a rising part of the gasket 108 that is interposed between a metal case 103 and the metal lid 105 having a folding-back at the outer periphery.
