PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information storage medium which stores a stream adaptive to a digital TV broadcast and the management information suited to the management of the stream. SOLUTION: The storage medium includes a management area (6) for recording the management information and a data area (7) for recording content data, the content data to be recorded in the data area include a plurality of object data, and each of the object data includes a plurality of data units. Each of the data units includes a plurality of packs, each of the packs includes a plurality of packets, and the management information to be recorded in the management area includes program chain information for managing the reproduction order of data contained in the object data.
