The method involves conveying a web of endless fabric in a predetermined conveying direction (10) in longitudinal sections (6). The section (6) conveying direction is stitched in sections exclusively within the cutting region on the one hand and is cut on the other hand. The web is conveyed further by a conveying step according to the section length after performing sectional sewing and cutting processes.
