<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape feeder for a component mounting machine which provides more precise transfer of a carrier tape, on which semiconductor chips are loaded, by a linear movement means than by prior arts, minimizes errors in picking operation by preventing upside-down and falling-off of a loaded chip in the process of taking out a covering vinyl, and realizes maximization of the reliability, simplification of the constitutional components, and slimming of the total volume of the machine. <P>SOLUTION: Front-side/backside locators slide with their bearings in a forced guide state along a guide slide slot of a cam slider that carries out forward/backward linear motion to alternately carry out upward/downward motion in vertical direction and forward/backward motion in horizontal direction. Therefore, backward transfer of the lock and the pitch of the tape carrier, and release and forward motion of the lock of the tape carrier are repetitively carried out to realize the precise pitch-interval transfer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
