<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect illegal entry/outgo to quickly operate an alarm/guard device when a person without an authorized ID card enters or leaves a room requiring security, while a door for restricting in/out of the room is unlocked by an ID card possessed by a person authorized to enter or leave the room. <P>SOLUTION: This entrance system is provided with a second detecting means 13 for detecting the passage of in/out persons from the room, separately from the use of contact or non-contact type ID cards as first detecting means 11, 12 for detecting the in/out persons, to take a means for collating the number of in/out persons detected by the first detecting means 11, 12, with the number of in/out persons detected by the second detecting means 13.
