PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image processing apparatus capable of performing motion search at a high speed with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes an LSRAM 11 for storing a second image within a predetermined range of a first image, and accessible at a higher speed than a frame memory 2, a search processing section 15 for reading a third image within a predetermined range of the second image from the LSRAM 11, and performing first motion search on the basis of the third image, an SSRAM 17 accessible at a higher speed than the frame memory 2, a transfer processing section 16 for reading a fourth image within a predetermined range of the second image on the basis of the search results by the search processing section 15 from the LSRAM 11, and storing the fourth image in the SSRAM 17, and a search processing section 18 for reading the fourth image from the SSRAM 17, and performing second motion search more detailed than the first motion search on the basis of the fourth image. |
