PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a waveguide which holds high thermal conductivity and a high heat resistance and, at the same time, has a high electric conduction efficiency, and to obtain a method of manufacturing the waveguide. SOLUTION: The waveguide is manufactured in such a way that, after the component of the waveguide is formed of CFC (step 1), an intermediate metallic layer composed of Cu and a metal which can form an eutectic crystal with Cu is formed on the surface of a CFC base material which becomes the component (step 2), an intermediate metallic layer forming process A is performed for causing the CFC base material to react to the intermediate metallic layer (step 3), and a Cu layer is further formed on the intermediate metallic layer formed in the process A (step 4). Then a Cu layer forming process B is performed for mutually diffusing the intermediate metallic layer and Cu layer (step 5), and the waveguide is manufactured by using the parts subjected to the Cu layer forming process B. |
