WORK EXECUTION METHOD FOR LARGE SECTION TUNNEL AND DEFORMED SECTION SHIELD BORING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for a large section tunnel having a shallow overburden and a deformed section shield boring machine. SOLUTION: A rectangular excavation trench 3 in section view is formed in the ground to back-fill the upper part of a box body to construct a row of box bodies 23 while adjacently installing the box body 2, a row of propulsive pipes 73 are constructed by installing the propulsive pipe 7 under the box body 2 while fitting an projected stripe 71 expanded in the direction of a tunnel axis on the upper surface of an upper floor slab 72 of the propulsive pipe 7 in a groove stripe 22 notched in the direction of the tunnel axis on the lower surface of the bottom slab of the box body 2, excavation is carried out between a plurality of rows of box bodies 23 constructed in approximately parallel with each other at an interval 6 and a row of propulsive pipes 73, and while the large section tunnel 4 is constructed while utilizing a row of box bodies 23 and a row of propulsive pipes 73 as an earth retaining supporting member. A row of box bodies 23 are precedently constructed, and an upper stage box body 24 can be installed while forming the excavation trench 3 thereon.
